Football Training Video

Posted by Joseph On December - 15 - 2014

We play football on the pitch when it’s dry.  Earlier this year we trained with Eugene Lavin. He used to play Gaelic football with Mayo. We had lots of fun and learned about different skills. Eugene taught us how to use our weak side just as well as our strong side. We played matches as well as training. All of us are looking forward to the Mini-sevens, McCarthan Cup, Heaney Shield and the Cumann na mBunscol competitions. We have improved a lot and have lots of fun playing football.

Judges’ comments on our website.

2014 Winner - Best School Website. Here are the judges’ comments on why we won Best School Website:

According to the judges a school website is a window into the life of that school.  This website is not a static brochure but captures vividly the rich variety of activities taking place in the School. The site is based on a blog but utilises a range of tools ranging from RSS to Twitter and Facebook.

Events from every class are represented in pictures, text and videos.  Individual student’s work is also in evidence throughout – some uploaded by themselves.  Parents are accommodated not only through newsletters and Google calendars, but have an online service for school bus, book rental and other payments.  This site demonstrates how comprehensive a school website can be.  What makes this one extra special is the fact that this school is only a 2-teacher school.
