Our school took part in Bounce-athon ‘10 which aims to raise awareness of children with learning disabilities and to raise funds for Western Care Association’s childhood services throughout Mayo. A Bouncing Castle was delivered to the school on Sports Day and a total of €363 was raised for a very worthy cause.

Ryan, Ellen and Diane were among 150 schoolchildren who pedalled their way through the streets of Westport on Thursday 6 May 2010 in a novel road safety campaign.
Each team was accompanied by a judge at the event in Westport and tested on a wide range of cycling abilities, as part of an initiative by Mayo County Council/Westport town Council and Mayo Garda Síochána. The young cyclists set about to form the longest cycling train in Ireland on the day also.
As part of our 2010 Discovery Primary Science project we visited the W5 in Belfast.
