Our Christmas prayer service, featuring pupils from all classes was broadcast live from Carras Church which looks absolutely fantastic and is a credit to all involved. Happy Christmas everyone.
This video was produced especially for the residents and staff of Hollymount Nursing Home. We hope you enjoy it as much as we had fun making it. Nollaig Shona!

We had a great 4 weeks learning guitar with Jason Moyles recently.
We started by learning how to tune our guitars using a tuner and our ear. We then learned 4 chords and have been practising a lot at home.
This extra-curricular activity has complemented our work in the creative schools project where our overall theme is music and performance.
Jason is a wonderfully talented musician and guitar player and it was a pleasure for the children to work with him. He has been very generous with his time and we are very thankful to him.
To complete our Christmas concert in @Garrymore the pupils sang Daidí na Nollag, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Do You Hear What I Hear?, We Wish You a Merry Christmas and Merry Christmas Everyone. The children performed so well and we are all very proud of them.
Last Tuesday, the 7th of May, as part of the Creative Schools Programme pupils in the senior room took part in the next stage of their sound workshop with Ed Devane. Throughout the day the pupils investigated sound theory and editing sounds on the Chrombooks using materials they had brought to school to create different sounds. Following this the pupils worked with electronic music using an online synthesizer, an activity the class really enjoyed. To finish the workshop each pupil created their own air horn instrument. The class really enjoyed the workshops and have gained a wealth of knowledge on working with sound. We would like to thank Ed for an excellent two days of fun learning.
