I like being back at school because it brings some normality into the world. We also have class at Garrymore hall while the new classroom is being built in Gortskehy. This is good because we have the astroturf and when it’s raining we can play basketball. I like being back as well because I get to see all my friends after six long months of not seeing them. We also get to enjoy art like Halloween art, sugar skulls, skeletons and poems.

We drew illusions and also learned about different countries. We get to go on the chromebooks and do fun activities. We are also starting  back ukulele which is great fun. We also have two new teachers at the school Ms. McNieve and Ms. Connolly. It’s nearly Halloween so we are all excited and we are dressing up on Friday. Of course we are still social distancing and sanitising our hands. Hopefully we all stay safe.

The good thing about being back at school is that we can play on the astroturf and not the tar because at school when we were playing on the tar sometimes we got hurt when we fell over. And we don’t have to jump over the wall to get the ball because the astroturf has a fence about 10 metres high. I prefer Garrymore hall because it is bigger and we can play basketball in the mornings and when it’s raining.

I love being back at school because our new classroom is in Garrymore Hall. It’s good to be back. We were off for five months and I was really excited to go back. Since our return we have painted some Autumn scenes. We have learned about some European countries for European Day of Languages. We wrote about some famous landmarks. I did Húskur in Iceland. We have all completed drawings of sugar skulls. We are starting to learn the ukulele soon. We always use hand sanitiser and stay two meters apart and hopefully stay safe.

I like being back at school. I get to see Alyssa and my friends. We are in Garrymore hall so in the morning we get to play basketball or if it’s raining at break we can play basketball inside. My Mom has to work from home so we get to see her when we get home from school. On Sunday Mayo beat Galway by 15 points. It was the biggest win in the league over Galway since 1952. Alyssa and I and some other people go to Garrymore some times after school. Hopefully Christmas does not get cancelled. Trick or Treating is cancelled but I am still dressing up as a pirate. For midterm I am baking cupcakes and my sister, brother and I are doing up our rooms.

I am happy to be back at school because I can see my friends again. As well as that, I get to practise football and soccer again. If I did not go to school I would be very dumb. My favourite subject in school is P.E. We play football and soccer for P.E. I think school is a lot better in Garrymore hall than the school because we can play football on the astroturf pitch and play basketball in the hall. The only difference is we have to sanitise our hands but other than that everything is nearly the same.
