In February 2011 we performed with the Cross Border Orchestra of Ireland in the Royal Theatre, Castlebar. We were practising since the previous October and here is a video of the performance. Irish Dancing classes take place in school every Monday from 3pm to 4pm. Mrs. Ann Hussey (087 6252929) and her daughter Ruth (087 6724804) are both excellent instructors who aim to give every child who attends the opportunity and the support to enjoy a lifetime of Irish Dancing.
A percussion instrument is any object which produces a sound by being hit with an implement, shaken, rubbed, scraped, or by any other action which sets the object into vibration. In this video the pupils keep different beats with various percussion instruments.
Boomwhackers Tuned Percussion Tubes are lightweight, hollow, color-coded, plastic tubes, tuned to musical pitches by length. They are used as musical instruments in the percussion family.
