Senior Room - Tuesday, June 18th: Trip to Bayside Sports, Athlone.
Activites will include obstacle courses, inflatible water activities and
bushcraft survival techniques. Bus will leave the school for Athlone at
9.10am
sharp. Bring your own packed lunch. Depart Athlone at 3pm with expected
return to the school at 4pm approx. Text will be sent to parents on leaving
Athlone.
ESSENTIAL ITEMS: It is essential that pupils
bring the following 5 items: 1 - swimsuit, 2 -
clothing & footwear: hat, leggings, t-shirt,
rain jacket and old runners (for wearing in the
water - no flip flops), socks, dry clothes to
wear home, plastic bag for wet clothes, 3 -
towel, 4 - sun cream, 5 - bottle of water
The bus will run as usual for Infants at 1.30pm & First/Second/Third
class at 2.30pm. Subsidised cost: €40 per pupil which can be paid online or
by cash/cheque (payable to Gortskehy NS).
Middle Room - Friday, June 14th: School Tour to Horizon in Westport. Activities include
orienteering treasure hunt, foam fencing,parachute and inflatable games suitable
for the age group. Children should wear
comfortable, warm clothes (that can get dirty!) and should bring a waterproof
jacket, hat and a spare layer in their bag (depending on the forecast).
Lunch will be provided but pupils should bring a bottle of water. Bus leaves school at
9.30am sharp and the children will be
back by 2.30pm. Sunscreen if it’s sunny! Subsidised cost: €30 per pupil which can be
paid online or by cash/cheque (payable to Gortskehy NS).
Junior Room - Tuesday, June 11th: School Tour to the National Aquarium
of Ireland in Galway. Pupils will be given a guided tour of all the sea life at
the aquarium followed by a trip to a playground in Salthill. Bus
leaves school at 9am sharp and the pupils will be back by 1.30pm. Please
apply suncream in the morning if a hot day is forecast. Subsidised cost: €24 per pupil (includes lunch) which can be paid online or by cash/cheque
(payable to Gortskehy NS).
PLEASE NOTE - In this lovely, hot weather children can wear shorts to
school along with the school white polo t-shirt. Please apply sunscreen in the morning if required. |
