In the event of a tied vote, the election of the nominee shall be determined by a further vote at that meeting. Such a vote shall be confined to the tied nominees.

Ballyglass-Gortskehy Road

Councillor Patsy O'Brien has asked me to inform parents that €30,000 is being spent on tarring the road between Ballyglass and Gortskehy. It's a very welcome development and thanks to everyone who lobbied.

Class and Family Photos

This week you will receive a complimentary class and family photo.  The images are available for purchase in a variety of sizes and as gifts (key rings, mugs etc.) from Photobox.  You must select the area of the photo you want on smaller items such as stickers and keyrings when you order online.

Please note that while these are not professional photos they are the pupils' work and a percentage of the proceeds are donated to the school.  Thanks to Megan and Adam in 6th class for help in taking the photos and for organising everyone and arranging the poses.  The pupils in 5th and 6th class edited the images, adding the selected backgrounds and adjusting contrast, tone etc.

As usual, we will facilitate the County Photos photographer later in the school year.  The following link can also be sent to relatives in other parts of the country, or overseas, who may wish to place an order.   http://www.photoboxgallery.com/gortskehy-ns
