A secure online payment facility is available here for school bus, book rental, insurance, after-school etc. You can use your credit card or debit card to pay. Card processing is handled by PayPal and you don’t need a PayPal account. No record of your card details is held on our site at any stage.  You must first register here on our website to view the complete list of services that can be paid for online.

2016 Junior Spider Winners

School Uniform – parents voted to keep a crested (free), school uniform in 2014.

Available from the National Schoolwear Centre in Tuam or Newtown Embroidery, Ballindine. PE is Tuesday (Junior room) and Friday (Junior & Senior room) weather-permitting.

Boys: Maroon V-Neck Crested Jumper, Grey elastic junior trousers, White (polo) shirt with collar.  Boys PE: Maroon Crested sweatshirt, maroon microfibre bottoms.

Girls: Maroon Crested Cardigan, Grey pocket pleat pinafore, White (polo) shirt with collar, Grey knee-high socks or grey tights. Girls PE: Maroon Crested sweatshirt, maroon microfibre bottoms.

FÍS Film Winners 2011After-school

An After-school & Homework Club is available daily from 1.30 to 6.30pm as required. The service is also available during school holidays. It is managed by Olivia McDonagh. Olivia is an experienced after-school manager with a Montessori Diploma, High Scope Childcare Certificate and Food/Hygiene certification.  A weekly structured programme is provided including a hot meal for pupils staying after 2.30pm. The completion of homework is also supervised.

Irish Dancing

Swimming Classes

Fresh Film Festival Winner 2012Swimming classes are organised for all pupils from First to Sixth class.  Classes take place at Claremorris Swimming pool during school hours for six to seven weeks after Halloween (4th-6th) and in February/March (1st-3rd).

Cumann na mBunscol & Spikeball

The senior children participate in Cumann na mBunscol Mini-Sevens in October and Football competitions in May/June.  They also compete in the Mayo Spikeball league in February.

Health Services Executive

The school accommodates the various Health Screening Schemes available to all national schools from the HSE.

First Holy Communion and Confirmation

Children in Second Class are prepared for First Confession and First Holy Communion annually. Confirmation takes place every two years.

Parent-Teacher Meetings

It is important that parents are involved in their children’s education. Formal Parent-Teacher meetings are usually held in November but any parent may call, phone or e-mail to make an appointment to discuss any issue relating to their child.
