A huge thank you to all the parents and children for your fantastic support again this year for our Shoebox Appeal. We collected 70 boxes for Team Hope. This is such a worthy cause, this years appeal theme is #MakeAChildSmile and by giving these boxes you have certainly done this and your gifts will probably be the only gifts he/she receives this Christmas so many thanks again.

There was a lovely article in the Irish Examiner last week where as a child in war torn Croatia, Josipa Akinradewo now a front line worker in Co. Clare tells how she remembers the joy of receiving a shoebox in 1993 when she was 8 years old and how she still carries around a pair of pink scissors in her handbag that were part of a stationary set she received in that box! She said ”the gift made me feels so special. It was my shoebox, a personal gift- someone was thinking of me”. This was the only present she received that Christmas. Well done everyone 👏
