We had the senior room lead us in dance this morning for ‘Wake Up, Shake Up’! We had great fun doing ‘rock the boat’ and ‘The Macerena’ and Baby Shark even made an appearance!

We were delighted to welcome, Tim Foley of Tourmakeady Handball Club to our school today. The children learned about the history of handball and how it is a GAA sport. Handball is a very skilful, fast paced sport that requires quick thinking! Anyone can play handball, all you need is a ball and a wall! Handball promotes endurance and coordination and it was fantastic for the children to have the opportunity to try it out!

We had a lunch time disco today that the children really enjoyed! We were bopping along to all the latest songs and we got some practice in for tomorrow! We had some very creative moves going on!

We are holding a very exciting ‘Community Day’ tomorrow as part of our active week.

Mayo Sports Partnership will join us on our community walk at 9 am – all welcome!

‘Gortskehy goes Country’ tomorrow at 12.30 pm, come along for a sing-song and a dance!
