Schattenburg Castle and Wildpark Feldkirch

Posted by Máistir Ó Beirn On May - 18 - 2014

Today we had breakfast at 9am. We met our co-ordinator Gerald Grahammer at 9.30. Then we went to Feldkirch by train and visited Schattenburg Castle which is situated high above the town. First we went to the musuem which showed the history of the castle which was built over 600 years ago. Then we went to the castle restaurant for lunch. We all had Schattenschnitzel which is a famous dish from Schattenburg Castle – it’s flattened, breaded chicken which is then fried. Next we went to Wildpark Feldkirch where we saw lots of animals native to Austria. We then had some ice cream and went back to the hotel. The weather is really warm – it was 23 degrees today. We leave for the mountains tomorrow at 7.15!  Joseph, Jamie, Thomas 🙂

  1. Boys’ day out… comparing notes on livestock, checking out sports cars and a nice big dinner. Looks like you are having fun. I believe some of you even ended up in handcuffs!!!!
